As with all pubs up and down the country, The Greyhound has its fair share of personalities who frequent the pub for its ambience, comfort and above all its homeliness. Here we profile just a few of the people who give the Greyhound the character for which it is famous. |

Lest we forget |

Resplendent in his Scottish uniform, octogenarian Ernie is depicted as he entered the lounge on Remembrance Sunday 2004, after attending a local service. Ernie can be seen with his many friends on most Sunday lunchtimes, when he usually partakes of one of the Sunday lunches available. An inveterate comedian, Ernie can always be relied upon to regale you with a good joke, usually clean, but occasionally near the knuckle. Well, he is an old soldier after all! |

International customers |

| Just to prove that the Greyhound garners its customers from
all over the world, here are two true representatives of foreign climes.
On the right we have Kevin Glover, a long-time friend of Pam's who came
over from California for two extended visits within 12 months during
2003/2004. He has proved immensely popular with everyone he has met, and
even joined in the spirit of the medieval dinners that historian Richard
Talbot arranged during his last visit. Hopefully, Kevin is going to try
and pay the Greyhound another visit sometime in 2006.
The glamorous lady on the left is another friend of Pam's by the name of Anne Bruzac. Born and raised in France, Anne settled in Britain early in her career as a actress and dancer, during which time she has appeared many times on the television, most notably in the Benny Hill Show and also Only Fools And Horses. Very interesting to talk to, she will captivate you with her delightful French accent. |

| Regular visitors to The Greyhound will know Lisa and her Spanish husband Paco. Resident here for many years Paco has taken to the English way of life, particularly amiable visits to the pub, namely The Greyhound. They support the dictate of The Greyhound of "Well-behaved dogs are always welcome", and currently have three excellent examples of this which they frequently display. Long may they and their animals continue to patronise The Greyhound. |

| Andy is the brother-in-law of Kevin (see above). Although currently living in California, Andy originally hails from Stoke-on-Trent, having been born in Chell Heath before moving to Shelton. He was formerly in the navy (both Royal and Merchant) before settling down on land. He has a desire to taste all the English foods that he has missed since emigrating to the States, with pork pies, black puddings and fish and chips high on the list. He is staying with Pam during March 2006, and can regularly be found quaffing a pint of best English bitter at the bar. |
