The Greyhound offers a wide range of draught and bottled beers and lagers. Always on traditional hand-pull are Abbott's Ales,  Old Speckled Hen, Timothy Taylor's Landlord, Wadsworth's 6X and a rotating guest beer, currently Charles Wells Bombardier.  Amongst the bottled beers there is Leffe Blonde, a top-quality Belgian beer. The lagers are equally well catered for with Carlsberg (both normal and extra-cold), Stella Artois and Carling always regularly available. In addition there is Draught Guinness, again both normal and Extra-cold, and Hoegaarden Wheat beer, which is delicious served with a slice of lemon. Tetley Smoothflow, also in normal and extra-cold, completes the line-up of beers, plus there is Draught Strongbow cider.

A wide range of red and white wines is something for which The Greyhound has quite rightly become famous since Pam Rowlands took over the tenancy, with choices from California, Australia, South Africa, Chile and other New World areas regularly on offer. All wines are offered by the bottle or by the glass, either small (125ml), medium (175 ml) or large (250 ml).

House wines from South Africa are also available, either red or white, sold by the litre in a carafe - equivalent to four large glasses or eight small glasses.

For aficionados of Scotland's traditional export, there is always an ever changing range of some of the finest Scotch malt whiskies, to suit virtually any  palate.

Disabled Persons

With reference to the new Disability Discrimination Act, we will be pleased to assist any person in need of it. The pub can be accessed by wheelchair through the bar door or, during summertime, the beer garden door.

We have no braille menu, but would be very pleased to read the menu and offer further assistance with drinks and/or seating. We are happy to accommodate all our customers and table service is available to anyone who needs it.

We are currently decorating the toilets which are reachable on ground level, and will soon have handrails. We regret the lack of space for a dedicated toilet and hope this does not discourage our wheelchair users from visiting the Greyhound.

No-smoking areas!

DON'T FORGET, FROM JULY 1ST 2007 THE WHOLE PUB WILL BE NON-SMOKING. SMOKERS WILL HAVE TO USE THE BEER GARDEN TO LIGHT UP!
